The Rebecca Ring is built around a single emerald cut blue topaz, held in a full bezel that steps in neatly around the stone. Nothing sits above it and nothing crowds it, so the long step cut facets do all the work, throwing light in clean flashes rather than sparkle.
Underneath, the band breaks into four fluted ribs that run the whole way around the finger. They catch the light in parallel lines and give the ring a weight and an architecture a plain shank never would. The shoulders flare outward to meet the bezel, so the piece reads as one carved object rather than a stone dropped onto a band.
Named for a dear friend who inspired the design.
