Toi et Moi, meaning ‘you and me’ in French, might be some of the most romantic and simple words someone could hear from a love one. Toi et Moi rings are made with two stones that are set next to each other without ever touching and on the same ring. 

One of the first Toi et Moi rings mentioned in jewelry history is that of Napoleon Bonaparte. In 1796, Napoleon was a revolutionary soldier in the French army. Napoleon offered to his first wife, Josephine de Beauharnais a gorgeous Toi et Moi ring. At the time, Josephine was 6 years older than him, with 2 children from a previous marriage. Napoleon’s family was none too pleased about this union, but nothing could stop the two lovebirds. The Toi et Moi ring was made in gold, with a delicate band holding a pear shaped sapphire and an antique pear shaped diamond. Each weigh just under 1-carat. This ring is still a strong symbol of romance and love

Every ring is made in the size you order. If you are not sure, order a ring sizer for $10, posted free within Australia and wear it for a day. It is the closest thing to trying on the real ring.

We work in Australian letter sizes, the same as UK. Resizing is free within 60 days, and $110 after that. Most designs move up to three sizes either way; eternity bands and some set designs cannot, and we will tell you your options rather than leave you with something unwearable. Allow one to two weeks.

Two things worth knowing before you order: pieces made to a custom measurement are final sale, and if another jeweller resizes one of our rings it voids the warranty. Please come back to us.

Every stone is chosen by hand in the Melbourne studio, and the metal changes how a piece wears as much as the stone does. If you are deciding between two of anything, these are the guides we wrote for exactly that.

Where our stones and metals come from

Everything ships from our Melbourne workshop, insured, tracked and signed for. Free within Australia, always. International is a flat $35 to anywhere in the world, whatever the order is worth. Transit is one to three business days within Australia and five to twelve internationally, counted from dispatch.

Anything in Ready to Ship already exists and goes out as soon as it is packed. Made-to-order pieces are made for you in Melbourne first, and your order confirmation tells you which applies to your piece.

Changed your mind? Return any piece made from one of our designs within 7 days of delivery, unworn and in its original packaging. Earrings cannot come back for hygiene reasons, and bespoke work, remodels and custom sizes are made for one person, so they cannot either.

If a piece is faulty you are covered by Australian Consumer Law whatever our policy says, and we pay the return postage.

Shipping and delivery · Returns and exchanges

Take it off for workouts, sport, gardening, cleaning and swimming, and keep it away from household chemicals. Store it in a lined box with compartments so pieces do not rub against each other. Even diamonds chip against other diamonds.

Clean it at home with warm water, a little mild detergent and a soft toothbrush, then rinse in cool water and dry with a soft cloth. A wipe with a cleaning cloth keeps the stones bright.

We recommend a service once a year on anything worn daily: a clean, a polish, and a check that the settings are still holding your stones. Most lost stones are preventable. White gold is rhodium plated and the plating wears with use, so have it redone about every 12 months.
